Developers call for restart of Bitcoin testnet as miners’ rewards are almost zero

According to BlockBeats, on May 6, Jameson Lopp, co-founder of Bitcoin hosting company Casa, said that due to factors such as "block storms", the Bitcoin test network occasionally generates more than 10,000 blocks in a day, which has led to the current block height of the test network being 2,811,000, equivalent to the height of the Bitcoin main network in 2061. As a result, the rewards for miners on the test network have been reduced to close to zero, making the network almost unusable for developers. Jameson Lopp recommends that Bitcoin developers and users migrate their infrastructure to "testnet4" in the coming months.
